We will be planting Watermelon and Pumpkin seeds.
What else should we plant?
I have Artichokes that do not produce for some reason.
I also have Broccoli and Onions from or fall garden.
We can not plant anything until May because we still have frost.

I plant tomatoes every year, because we eat a lot of them in the summer. Gardening is so relaxing, I love it.

I guess it all depends on how much room you have, and what you like to eat.

I plant yellow beans, cucumbers, tomato, green peppers and carrots.

If I had more room I'd plant corn and squash.

Corn is a good idea.
It grows well here.
I have a lot of room.
I can do tomatoes also.
I cant stand carrots and beans.
Peppers are a good idea also.
Thanks to both of you.

Depending on the type of squash you can put at least a couple plants in a small area. I usually fit 4-5 in an 8'x5' area (turtle pen).

In the snow!!!!
Peas, cucumbers, bell peppers, and sunflowers are also good. I am partial to cherry tomatoes in my garden.

You need alot of room for corn-alot!!

My veg garden is 44 ft x 76ft.

I plant 3 kinds of potatoes, 3 kinds of corn, carrots, peppers, about 25 tomato plants, basil, onions, shallots, broccoli, green beans, broom corn, lettuce and peas.

Once in a while I do zucchini and squash-the bush kind not the vine types.

I want your garden. That's bigger than my backyard

Keep in mind that watermelon and pumpkins have VINES and they can run like crazy - you need a lot of room for them.

I would plant some strawberries, tomatoes, green beans.

In our garden we plant mainly peppers, tomatoes (regular and cherry) and purple green beans. Tried carrots last year and they didn't take very well. Might try some kind of lettuce this year.

My grandparents plant tomatoes, lettuce and lots of zucchini which are easy to grow, they're just like cucumbers and I love how they taste. Also eggplant is just as easy and they grow that too but I heard it's the least healthy vegetable. I help them garden sometimes and it's soo much fun!! What's even better is when you water it and you just watch the water get in there it's soo relaxing...Ahh I want to go there now

I wish we had a garden!! All we have is my tangerine tree, my dads lime tree and we used to grow tomatoes. I wish we had carrots cause my horse eats a bag full in a week!!

What about eggplants?? My grandma grew them and they took really well (she also lives in fresno), tomatoes took well too and i think she had cucumbers?? I think squash and zucchini (sp?) would be lovely, you can cook soooo much with them! Good luck with your garden
