We have been letting him in portions of the house when we are home but he meows/yowls almost constantly. I'm thinking this is because he isn't neutered yet? And it will diminish once he is neutered? (hopefully)

Any thoughts?

Also he peed on the bed in our bedroom and marked in my computer/office room so those are closed off for now. He hasn't done this in any other room though (the other bedroom is closed now). The other cats spend much time in these room as well as the others so I'm not sure why he chose these rooms.

Could be that it's a new place. Cammy meowed a LOT the first night we had her. Most cats stop spraying after they get neutered too.

Well he has been in the house off and on for about 9 days but this has increased (the yowling) since Thursday afternoon when he got outside for a few minutes and saw the other stray that has been hanging around. Before this episode he hadn't been too bad with the talking.

Yeeeaaahhhhh..... a lil nip-tuck should help with the marking and yowling.

Yeah, he needs to be neutered. This will probably help with both the yowling and the spraying. Don't forget - it'll take about 30 days for the hormones to cycle out of his system.

In the meantime, you may want some Feliway spray, and getting the Cat Attract additive for the litter boxes may help a lot and definitely won't hurt. It's on sale at entirelypets.com. It is REAL expensive to use if you follow the directions, but we don't. We just sprinkle some on top each time we clean the litter, and that helps a lot.

Him sensing the other cat outside probably set him off. Even after neutering, they're interested in outside cats. It will help with the spraying/marking though.
