A food question for today:

What is your favorite type of fruit?

Mine was grapes for many years until I discoved Mango's and now they are my favorite hands down.

Hmmm, love lots of fruits but right now it's big navel oranges.

Then there are juicy golden delicious apples...

And field ripe cantaloupes...

My favorite fruit are bananas and have been all my life. The only problem is to find them when they are at their best.

Depends on the season. I really, really like just about all fruits. Michigan is a BIG fruit growing region.

I would have to say peaches. Juicy, tree-ripened. In season. When you bite into it, the juice runs down your arm.

The best Bartlett pear I ever had I bought at a little roadside stand in western Michigan - between Holland and Grand Haven. Small, tree-ripe and the most pear-y tasting pear I have ever put in my mouth. Like pear candy!!

In the fall, I like Northern Spy apples for cooking, baking and yes, eating.

Michigan blueberries are also great -- lots of blueberries also grown along that shore of Lake Michigan.

I think I have to say whatever is in season, because I love all fruit, and am quite willing to wait and have my annual fix of any one when it's local and lovely, rather than buy off season and get stuff that had to be picked too early and is consequently dull. The one that does not fit that is mango, and I'm more than delighted at how much of the year we can find lovely ones in the stores. We had one with our waffles for brunch today.

Hmm! I love fruit in general. I could give up all foods and live on fruit for the rest of my life.

I go in fits and spurts with "favourites" though. Currently it's fresh pineapple.

I love grapes too but too many give me a headache.

I totally agree!! Banana are my favorite as well but I LOVE them when they are in this particular stage of ripeness and that is hard to find.

I also love apples.

You just discovered mangos? They are the greatest except they are so messy just trying to eat them.
Nevertheless, I will also go with mangos.

Can't pick just one!
I love blackberries and cherries, and have just learned that blueberries are pretty good, too. Maybe my #1 choice would be a perfectly ripe juicy peach, still warm from the sun.
Oh man, I wish it was summer; that sounds so good!

I don't care for fruit, but can eat it sometimes. Too sweet for me, I guess.
