Hi I'm new and I recently switched my 2 cats to BB indoor from Nutro Natural Choice after reading up on cat nutrition. I was wondering which food is a better quality BB or NB my cats seem to really like the BB but after reading NB ingredients it seems to be less grainy. On the other hand I really like that BB cold process there vitamins.
They also split a can of wet food for there evening meal usually a rotation of Natural Balance, Natural Life, Natural Choice and on occasion Tiki Cat. Oh one more question does this sound right for portion sizes they both share a 1/2 cup of dry food in the morning and 3oz of wet in the evening. Thank You!!

I feed both brands in canned, and feel they like the Natural Balance better - seems better nutrition to me. Sharky will give you an analysis of the two when she reads it

very low for a premium food

2 meats
3 grains
2 starches
1 cellulose IE totally indigestible and often if not listed what SAWDUST
YUCK ,I would rather have a food with one meat, one grain and corn gluten IMHO
.5 meat to 1 starch / grain
NATURAL BALANCE ULTRA PREMIUM:
4 meats
3 grains and2 starch

a .75 to 1meat to grain/starch ratio the grain and starches out weigh the meat amount

Chicken Meal, Chicken, I like this alot as the chicken will drop to 5th or 6th place but the meal is the true main ingredient Brown Rice grain, Duck Mealcan be to rich for some kitties , Barley, Oatmeal2 grains , Chicken Fat (Preserved With Natural Mixed Tocopherols), Potatoesstarch IMHO unnecessary in a grain containing food , Carrotsstarch, Lamb Meal, Salmon Mealone can cause inflammation and the other can be an allergen , Canola Oil, Natural Flavor, Dried Egg, Brewers Yeastallergen, Whole Ground Flaxseedin a form not usable to kitty , Potassium Chloride, Choline Chloride, Taurine, Spinach, Parsley Flakes, Cranberries, L-Lysine, L-Carnitine, Yucca Schidigera Extract, Dried Kelp, Zinc Proteinate, Vitamin E Supplement, Niacin, Manganese Proteinate, Copper Proteinate, Zinc Sulfate, Manganese Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Thiamine Mononitrate (Vitamin B-1), Vitamin A Supplement, Biotin, Potassium Iodide, Calcium Pantothenate, Riboflavin (Vitamin B-2), Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B-6), Vitamin B-12 Supplement, Manganous Oxide, Sodium Selenite, Vitamin D-3 Supplement, Folic Acid.

Truthfully you moved from a mid grainy food to a very grainy food ...

Protein and fat, fatty acid and ingredient wise I like NB better

How much do you cats weigh and are they proper weights??

Thank you! After your analysis I may go pick up a bag of Innova Evo I'm trying to switch them to can only but my male cat is a very picky guy he loves his carbs. My male cat is 13lbs and maybe a touch over weight but not by much and the female is 11lbs and to me she seems right for her frame. Can I ask what do you think about Taste of the Wild

Thank you again=)

I feed five cats taste... it has drawbacks like all foods but all five like and do well
the cost is another thing I like

15lb bag of evo here is about 40-45$

15lb bag of taste is 25-29

I am also adding in Kirkland ( costcos brand to help with uti health )
