New Bengal Owner from Alberta, Canada

Hi everyone i am new here. Me and my fiancee are from alberta,canada and are the proud owners of a DLH black and white male and soon to be born marble bengal kittens and i can not wait i am very excited. I have been looking for a bengal in alberta for quite some time and was able to find an amazing breeder in calgary which is great. So we have 22 days before the kittens are born before we can chose which one we want then another 13 weeks before we are able to bring the kitten home.

Hello & welcome to tcs. Can't wait to see your kitten too when it arrives.

Hi everyone. I am new to this site and hopefully it will be able to help me. I am new to the bengal breed even though i have researched it for quite sometime. Well my first bengal kitten will be from a small breeder in the area i am from(I tried to find a bengal rescue but was un-successful or else it would of been a rescue) well my kitten hasnt been born yet i still have three more days until they are born(hopefully if everything goes well they will be born on time) I have decided to get a marbled bengal as i just love their markings more then the rosetted even though they are just as gorgeous. I did take care of a retired rosetted bengal for awhile to see if this was the type of breed i still wanted. I had a couple problems as the cat was quite head shy, hated to be held(i know not all bengals like to be held) and attacked my boyfriend that he has some deep scratches so then we ended up sending her back but that didnt stop us from finding our current breeder we are getting our baby from and i can not wait until i am able to get pictures when they are born. Does anyone else have a bengal kitten that they are willing to tell me about so i know what to expect with a bengal kitten as it has been quite sometime since i had a kitten in my home. I did kitten proof our spareroom and we are planning on putting som ply-wood covered in carpet on our wall so they can use that as a scratching post and climbing thing.

You might want to start your own thread in that forum.
That should get you more members feedback to your specific questions about raising a Bengal.

Thank you everyone for welcoming me. I am going nuts with waiting on this kitten but only hopefully two more days. It will be the week that is torture for me as that is what my breeder said to wait a week then i am able to visit them and pick out the one i like and if i like another one better when they are a bit older and develop them i can choose that one instead(I am first on the waiting list for her marble bengal, she has 6 i think on her rosetted female once she gets pregnant) Its exciting since my kittens dad is from dazzledots and they have just gorgeous kittens. It will be nice to have a registered kitten when i get the kitten fixed at 6 months then i get the TICA registry papers(i have never owned a registered cat before)

Thanks xocats i always feel its my responsibility to research any animal before i bring it into my home and i will go into the breeders corner to do so.

As soon as they are born im going to be emailing her to see if she is able to send me some pictures then i am able to post them i know they are just going to be gorgeous babies. The only problem im having is if i should decide on a couple names before the kitten is born or when i see the baby.
