My cat has drank water 3 times in the past 4 hours. He is currently on antibiotics and seems to have some type of food allergy.

Could antibiotics cause him to drink more water than usual? He keeps meowing also, but im not sure what he wants obviously. Usually he meows for food. Which i just gave him some and he is quiet.

I don't know if he's in some type of pain or what not. He was diagnosed with stomatitis earlier this year but recently he's gotten better. Sooo I'm just not sure. He was at the vet this saturday. Maybe i;m overreacting....

It might be getting pain from the clavamox.
My Coco would meow on it then throw up because it made her sick.
She would drink a ton of water after she threw it p.
Has he ever threw up from it?

Nope no throwing up. I mean he normally is a cry baby but last night was out of the norm. He seems to be back to normal today. Thanks

but excessive drinking is a sign of diabetes. It may just be a coincidence that he is on meds right now. Just something to consider....

Glad to hear that he's better today. Did you see the kitty dentist?

He hasnt seen the specialist yet, but i did take him to another vet this week. His condition is improving in regards to the stomatitis, thank god. He's not drinking too much water anymore. He's back to his normal little self.
