Craigslist - someone make me stay away!

Found this story on CL today. I'm so mad I can't see straight

There were so many options she could have investigated before cutting off her toes Like that is going to help the situation at all.

That is the reason I stay out of the pet section on CL. I get so wound up on the "reasons" that people give away their animals. Part of me thinks that they don't need or deserve the pet and it's best if they get away from that environment, but the bigger part of me thinks that they took on a pet for life, the bad with the good. That kitty is stressed out about something and needs to have that issue explored and have everything done to de=stress it. Well, that's what I would do. I have a snotty brat cat, but I would NEVER give him away. NEVER! I love him for who he is!

Wait so she declawed her? I was confused...What's the point of this listing anyway? Is she trying to adopt her out?

sounds like she's looking for advice... craigslist is a kind of strange place for this type of posting - it's more the type of thing i'd expect to see here

Maybe she doesnt know places like this exist. Someone should email her and tell her we would be more than happy to help her out with her problems and hopefully find a way for her to keep her beloved kitty!

I don't think the kitten was for the older cat to play with, it was for the husband lol because he felt like he needed a cat that actually likes him...
I dunno the entire thing confuses me also.

The woman has big ol' issues. She and cat living together fine.

Boyfriend shows up. Cat doesn't like him. Cat ends up getting declawed because of it.

Now they got a kitten and want help with getting the older cat to accept boyfriend and have her be motherly to the kitten.

So cat gets her toes chopped off (this was an adult cat) and NOW they even want her to not only accept the boyfriend (who she didn't like to start with) AND a new kitten.

I feel so danged sorry for that poor cat. Her life is just a shambles. I would be committable after all she has been through.
