Anyone gotten rid of cable to do this>>?? I have watched the free stuff on different sites but I am curious about the services you pay for once .. Anyone tried them ? If so do you like it ??

I have tried one - LiveTv, not worth it. All those channels you can get for free at www.justin.tv. That's how I watch live brasilian tv on my computer. There are thousands of channels in there, and you can watch them live, from anywhere... It's great.
