As for redlands... maybe they respond to email better?
That's not Simba, unfortunately. Simba is spotted at the top rear rather than "racing striped." I called the Redlands rescue because, if I recall correctly, they said on their website there is no one person that takes emails and you should call them. I may be wrong, will look at it again tomorrow.

They're about 70 miles away from where Hope was, so I'd be VERY surprised if it was him...

Sent an email last night with some pics of Simba to RHS. A very nice woman emailed me today to inform me that cat is definitely a female and not Simba.
Though far, she said she would ask their fosters and rescues at nearby Petco's to keep an eye out.. so that was nice of her.

..onward!

HOnestly, AC should have set a humane live trap in Hope's apt. I get sick to my stomach thinking that Simba may still be hiding in there somewhere.

One of the members here, Going Nova, will be in the area this weekend, and may be able to post some flyers or talk to neighbours or something. What's everyones suggetions for if she can get there?

I'll get her to check in on this thread.

I'll be in the area, to put up flyers and maybe talk to neighbors.
Poor Simba. I would want my pets to be cared for when I am gone.

OK, went to the addresses I was given. One of the addresses seemed more like an officespace than an apartment, but I put up some flyers anyhow. The other address was an indoors-type apartment building but Hope's name was not on the list of residents at the front door buzzer. I left flyers in that area too. I think, if Simba got out then it would be extremely difficult to track him down as the area is quite urban with many busy streets and businesses nearby.
I didn't talk to any neighbors, as it was getting dark when I got there.

Bless you for your efforts
I have to go to San Diego this upcoming weekend (4/18), just to drop off my grandson, but if you want someone to go with you again, send me a PM - I can easily go up the I-5 as do the I-15/215 on Sunday, poss. Monday. My heart is breaking because Hope was willing to do the San Diego cat show with me, and I let my husband bully me into thinking that I was too far behind at the office....the work is still behind, and I've forever lost the chance to have an adventure with Hope.
Please RB Kitties - give Hope some headbutts for me

I wish I could go back this weekend, but I'm going to be out of town again. Now that I know how the building and area are, I think the best course of action would probably be to somehow pop into the building and leave a flyer with all the neighbors?
