Digestive supplements in Canada? (recommendations and where to buy)

Hello.

I've often seen people recommend Benebac for kitties prone to digestive upsets.....does anyone know where to buy it in Canada?

Can you recommend any other products that would help digestive issues (diarrhea with the slightest change in anything, even the slightest amount of wet food, etc) again available in Canada.

I would see if Petsmart carries it (it seems in the US many find it there). When I first brought Steve home my vet actually gave me some. If you can't find it locally you might try calling your vet or holistic vet to see if there's a local source.

You could also ask your vet if you could just substitute acidophilus power (found at any human health food store). Then you just sprinkle it on the food (but, not sure the difference is between the two so first check with your vet).

Sensitive digestive systems are just the worst! It took Steve a whole year before his stomach finally settled down. If it's an ongoing problem, you will need to go through a food trial and figure out which ingredients are the trigger or if the cat is suffering from IBD etc. Even just stress alone can trigger digestive issues so make sure to limit it also.

Try to stick with limited ingredient foods to help pinpoint the problem.
