Need ideas for new parents!

Friends just had a baby 4 weeks premature, and the little guy is in NICU and doing fine, but will be there probably another week. Parents are a bit stressed and tired.

Anyone got ideas of what would be nice to take them? We're going to the hospital in a couple of hours.

Are they eating properly Sarah?. If not maybe make up a little picnic basket with lots of lovely things in to nibble on to make sure they do?

I'm sure they'd enjoy some reading material, or maybe a laptop/portable dvd player and some movies. Maybe also a gift certificate for some coffee, or food brought to them from outside the hospital?

Thats a great idea! With everything going on and being at a hospital, eating is probably the last thing on their minds. Its always nice to have some nice yummy, healthy snacks. Hospital food always isn't the greatest

How about a certificate for a one-time housecleaning before the baby comes home?

A wonderful idea

I had the perfect idea. I bought a 1L Thermos, and filled it with their favourite tea I took them a bunch of good tea bags, as well as some Shortbread.

Tomorrow I'm going to make some bulk meals to take to them, so they should be fine.

The little baby was soooo cute. 4 weeks preemie, but weighs 6lb 7oz, so a decent size. Just needs some help with his lungs

That sounds perfect Sarah, then they don't have to think about cooking.

That's a relief for the baby as well
