This is what Jake did when I got up on a chair to screw a lightbulb...

I have no idea why but as soon as I was up there he arched back and stayed that way for the entire time. Then as I came down he started walking backwards on two feet arching even more!! It was funny and at the same time I wanted to hug him and tell him it's okay I did that and called him silly for being afraid that I'm taller than usual Of course he calmed down as soon as he was in my arms and started to smell me as if to make sure it's still me

BTW the tooth fairy will be stopping by tonight. Jake lost one of his baby canines I still have it...

I'm sure that's exactly how he felt!! And then he tried to compensate for the size difference by arching and making his all of his fur stand up LOL...He did look pretty huge when he did that

He looks so scared, poor baby, with his fur rising like that. I'm glad to see he calmed down in the last few pics (and to see his magnificent tail). At any rate, Jake is a doll.

It's really amazing what can make us into scary monsters to them. It can be picking up a box, getting up on a chair, anything that they aren't used to. Silly kitties!

Be sure to tell Jake that he was very scary and he did a good job of scaring that nasty monster away. What a good boy!

(But don't tell him that he's really too cute to be scary, but I think he is. )
