No point in doing that. Sorry about needing NetZero. They sure loaded a lot of junk. I don't know if Juno is any better.

I was curious as every time someone buys a pc from Best Buy they try to talk you into getting Webroot.

Try coaster's suggestions, he was a bit more detailed than I was.
But do get rid of the other two toolbars if you can, they're likely where some of your problem lies.

^ I really hope you're uninstalling your other antivirus programs before you install more! All these links to more programs will do you no good if you're not doing this first.

Again, follow coaster's detailed advice. You may actually have to look for and delete files instead of relying on a program to do it.

Most of those toolbars can be uninstalled from the Control Panel.

I don't find anything on rPsooXa.exe. I'd be suspicious of it, but you might check in the Admin services to see if that is listed there. I don't get a single hit on google with it.

Do you have Roxio installed?

Good. I know everyone is giving you more and more links for antivirus programs and spyware scanners, so it could be very easy to get overwhelmed by all of that.

By the way, those stray tool bars may be the problem. They get installed with any number of programs, if you don't read each screen carefully.

Superantispyware is not an anti-virus program. It is like SpyBot Search and Destroy except that it actually gets rid of some of the nasty scumware instead of just telling you it's there and not being able to remove it.

Avast is an anti-virus program so yes you should uninstall any other anti-virus before installing it.

This is a suggestion for something to install AFTER you get everything cleaned up. It's a program called "Spyware Blaster" and it works differently than the rest of them. It's not memory resident, so it doesn't hog your system resources. It gets kind of technical to describe how it works; I'm fuzzy on it myself; other than to say it prevents malware from functioning if it gets into your system.

(google "killbits")

Anyone have an idea what's that about?
