He's nearby a busy street that cuts across 2 fields - he's tame but very skinny and will only come within about 3ft. of me
He meows so mournfully. I set out some canned food & some Innova kibbles on his side of the road - I need him to settle in on my side of the road - he could occupy my former feral's digs until I can get him inside & posted as a "Found Cat".
I'm giving him a chance to eat the food, and maybe gain some trust and maybe tonight I can lure him across when the street isn't so busy. I'm sure he's somebody's darling - he's got such a gorgeous coat & deep green eyes

Yup! Those were some special vibes that you all were sending, because it sure worked 
I had to block the door to their chute which leads to a large dog kennel (the cat run) so they can't hiss at him thru the chainlink.
