i know, not the best food. but in the April 2009 Cat Fancy Magazine right after page 24 there is a coupon for a free 3.5 pound bag of either the babycat or the kitten food for royal canin. a 3.5 pound bag generally is $15 (here) and the coupon will go up to $16.99. maybe use it for treats or something???

We feed RC - but Charlie had a UTI and so he has to be on RC for Urinary. While there might be better brands out there, IMO RC is decent food. Many breeders feed it with very healthy and award-winning cats. So it can't be that bad

Anyway, I'd also feed canned food. We feed Wellness, Blue Spa, Natural Balance, Max Cat, Iams, Avoderm in the canned foods.

RC is a solid premium ... ie no chemical s , artificial colors or flavors or animal by products ... It does have LOADS of grains and grain products....

IMHO there are better in the $$ range but if the coupon makes it cheap enough for you then try it

I used my free coupon and got the kitty food about 3 weeks ago. I can't believe it costs 16.99 here. I've been mixing it in with their regular dry and they seem to LOVE it. I figured my cats are fairly young....one is actually under a year( Manny ) and the other 2 are on the thin side, so the kitty formula won't hurt them.
