Rachel brought her labtop so I could post an update. I had my surgery a week early. Some of you knew that. But I had it done on Friday the 13th! So I got my new knee with some complications. I have some slightly deformmed bones in my legs (which I knew from when I was a child) so when they were cutting the bone to fit the prosthetic knee, they ended up severing my MCL tendon. So they had to repair that as well. Was in the hospital for about 6 days and am now in a rehab center. I'm up with a walker but have to use a hinged knee brace. When I'm in bed or in a chair I can take it off. Physical therapy is going well. My range of motion is getting better every day. My daughter, Emily, has been taking care of my kitties. I miss them so much! I'm sure at least Maxx is going nuts without me there. He's my little shadow. Anyway.... I want to get off and go visit with Mason for a few minutes. Please keep me in your prayers and thoughts. I sure need them. My recovery is going to be a bit slower because of the tendon issues.

Glad to hear from you! I hope your recovery keeps going well. It must be frustrating as you probably just want to get up and start testing your new knees! Take it easy.

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear the rehab is going well, even if a little slower than you would like. for continued healing. You just had one knee done this time, didn't you? Are you going to have the other one done later? Guess I should go back and read the original thread.

Good news that the rehab is going fairly well. I've heard some bad stories about knee replacements, but that was also about 8 years ago. I really hope your original knee pain is all taken care of! That bone-on-bone thing can be quite painful!!!

Sorry about the complications but its good to hear that you are recovering, slowly but surely. I bet the kitties miss you terribly! Maybe your daughter can sneak one in for a visit

Hi Tammie, I've been wondering how you were doing. I didn't know you had gone a week early and when I didn't hear from you got concernced. I am sorry there have been problems but it sounds like you are doing as well as can be expected. As I have said before if there is anything you need all you have to do is let me know. for a fast and complete recovery, keep me posted.
