Imagine my torture! You know how at the end of every one of those "deal" commercials they have in microscopic print or fast forward explanation of "at only participating locations"? I live in NYC, and they never honor any! No joke, the only thing we have on the $1 value meal is 4 piece nuggets, that's it!

Actually, the filet o' fish commercial hasn't annoyed me yet, but it has serious potential for hitting the mute button if I see it enough.

The one that does make me crazy is this one:

I CAN'T STAND IT!! I reach for the mute button the minute I hear that moron say, "Hey...Optimum Triple Play...check out my commercial." Cripes. It's tuneless, stupid and insidious, and they keep playing it over and over. The ones they had before this one were awful, but this one is so incredibly bad I want to stick pencils in my ears and scream.

I wish there was a way to let them know that I wouldn't spend a penny on their product because their commercial is so stupid.

here's one that I can't stand: those Comcast commercials where the people are walking around an animated city singing about happy stuff in the most deadpan bored voice ever

Actually, I "think" the tune (if you can call it that) is a take off of a late 80's/early 90's song but for the life of me I can't remember what it is, but I do recognize it. It's been driving me crazy.

One thing about the McDonald's commercial...it's done it's job. You don't forget it. And, actually I've been craving a fish sandwich from there for the past few weeks!

I don't mind it but we used to have the mounted fish that sang "take me to the river" and it used to drive the cats crazy. I think they eventually destroyed it.

I schedule commercials for a TV station and I can tell you the campaign is done. The decision was made long before the spot aired. It may be brought back later, but Filet-O-Fish is a low priority for McDs. It also seems that it may have backfired in that people were more interested in the singing fish than the fish sandwich - sort of like the Taco Bell Chihuahua. They sold more Chihuahua merchandise than tacos.

The very same thing happened with the old 1980's "California Raisins" advertising campaign. They sold CR figurines, CR action figures, CR lunchboxes, CR tee shirts, CR sneakers, the CR Rhythm and Blues album, Saturday morning cartoon show, even a CR Christmas special...but no more real raisins.

Ooooo...I hate those, too. The WORST part is that they get stuck in your head so you've got that bored, deadpan C-O-M-C-A-S-T thing going all day.

Give me back that fillet o' fish, give me that fish..

Making good use out of those old fake mounted singing fish on the wall
Way to recycle! LOL

Now that most people have seen the commercial or heard about it, I think they should stop showing it and show:
THE MAKING OF THE SINGING FISH. I can only imagine these guys looking real serious in suite in a corporate office making this junk up

And here it is: http://www.myfoxboston.com/dpp/news/...s_local_flavor

The ad was made by a Boston firm and was featured on the local Fox news a couple of weeks ago.

My mom like has the entire California Raisin collection from Hardee's when they were like prizes with kid's meals and stuff. They're all lined up on a window sill in her kitchen like little purple plastic blobs with eyes and feet.

It was scheduled 4-5 times per Boston Celtics game, and it seemed to be similar for other sports events in the area. It was also on 2-4 times per newscast on every station. The fact that I know this means I need to get out more! Or I take my job too seriously.
