Thank you TCS members!

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for all of the responses to my post about my baby-boy Pause passing away. It has been SO hard these past few days and I feel like none of my friends or family really understand what I'm feeling because his death was sudden [not a 20 year old cat finally passing] and my friends are more of the mentality that you can just get another one, cats and dogs are basically easily disposed of to them. Everything that everyone had to say made me feel so much better. I'm still dealing with a lot of grief and a lot of guilt, but I really wanted to thank EVERYONE. This community is absolutely awesome and I am so glad I had somewhere to turn, especially because I felt so completely alone.

So thank you all x 10. You guys are amazing and I'm so glad to be a part of this awesome forum community!

It can be difficult for other people who don't love animals the way we do to understand just how much they impact our lives. I can't even think about losing one of my boys without getting teary. You can always find a sympathetic ear on this board when it comes to grief at losing a cat.

As for the guilt, I just want to reiterate that you were trying to do something good, and you are not to blame for what happened. I'm sure Pause would agree.
