I have heard of Lilian Braun before and that she writes about cats solving the mysteries. Are these books worthwhile to read?

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

The books are entertaining, and the cats are very important in the stories. The writing is pretty simple, and I have said many times that it looks like the author gets bored with the story and just kinds of ends it suddenly in each book. But they're very popular and the have a certain call to the "simple life" for most Americans.

After you've read more than three they tend to run together, I think.

I don't know if they're any good, but my MIL left a book by Carole Nelson Douglas laying on the coffee table one day. I picked it up out of curiosity and it turns out that the author has a series (Midnight Louie) about a crime solving cat PI.
A little info about me, it doesn't matter what type of book you leave laying out it will end up in my hands at some point because I can't resist looking at what else the author has wrote.
(partially because it can make for good gifts later)

The "Cat Who.." books (Lilian Jackson Braun) and certainly not great literature, but they're nice easy reads, good palate cleansers between more substantial reading, and the characters, especially the cats, are fun. I think I have a few to catch up on, actually.

I love the Cat Who series!! They are fun to read. It does help to read them in order though. They are easy reading not complicated. People on The Cat Who message board are upset because the author is 93 and sick and no one really is sure if the next book will be published. Its hard when you read I think its 27 books you really want to know what happens next. You get kinda get caught up in their lives.

INSTEAD I found the Mrs Murphy mysteries and the Sister Jane fox hunting mysteries and LOVED them and THEN I found the joe grey mysteries and THEY were the best. There is so much love of cat to cat, cat to human etc in them they are a pleasure to read. The newest is out just recently.
I just read the Theda Krakow mysteries Meow for Murder and it's sequels and they were a bit slow but the end had me wanting more!
