My little one Jinxy has a very large , heavy tummy , she doesnt claw when you touch it and her nipples have always from birth been visable , the only time she could of gotten pregnant was when she got out a couple of weeks back due to the door being open...

Shes due to be spayed soon.. but without going to the vets , how can i tell if shes pregnant? x

She wouldn't become visibly bigger until about 5 out of 9 weeks along.
The first sign is the nipples enlarging and getting bigger(3 weeks along)
Then there's the halt in heat cycles and the gaining of wait. If she was outside in heat, there's a good chance she's pregnant.
Wait a few weeks, and then you'll know for sure.
Good luck! Keep us updated on how she is!

You're not likely to see any signs at two weeks. When is her spay appointment? If it's more than a week or two away you might want to take her in earlier to have her checked by the vet. If she is pregnant, you'll need to decide if you're going to let her have the kittens. Beyond your own feeling about it, are you prepared to raise as many as 8 kittens for 10-12 weeks? That means food, litter, shots, spay/neuter, and of course lots of play time.

You can still have her spayed if you get her in early enough. A lot depends on the vet. They will usually charge more to spay a pregnant cat because it's a more complicated surgery and some vets won't spay if the cat is more than three or four weeks along.

How old is Jinxy? If she's still a kitten herself, you need to consider that it might be more dangerous for her to have the kittens than to be spayed while she's pregnant.
