We got a freak rainstorm, this evening (two months too soon). The temperature dropped, precipately, Ike and Pearl went romping through the rain and then proceeded to roll around, in the mud.
I now have two large, animate lumps of mud, on my patio, begging to come inside. Not bloody likely! These are the filthiest dogs, that I have ever seen.
Just before bedtime, I'm going to work them over, with an old towel and get the worst of it off. In the meantime, I'm having to take a paper towel outside, to wipe of my patio chair. It is covered with muddy puppy-prints.
This reminds me of when my kids played in the mud. I used to make them strip to their shorts, on the back porch and hose them off, before I let them in the house.
