We went out for our daily walk in the backyard today, and Jamie unfortunately saw/smelled a cat on the other side of our privacy fence, and slipped under it, harness and all, before I could stop him. The other cat ran off, and I was having a fit wondering whether I should try to undo the leash, climb over the 7-foot fence, or take the time to get into my neighbor's yard through her house or garage.

I got down on my knees and tried to coax Jamie to slip back under the fence. He hissed at me, but then he did! That was such a relief!

Jamie...

You are going to give your Mommy grey hair.

You were a good boy for coming back under the fence but please...

Good boy Jamie!
My cats have done that too, and it's frustrating to be stuck there wondering how to get them back. I have actually resorted to dragging Wiggies to within arm's reach before, but he wasn't at all happy about it.
