I know this is a cats site and I have been on this forum before when my cats have passed away, but my dog passed away on Monday. Autumn was 8 1/2. I found out she had bone cancer in December so I new it was going to happen. She was doing okay for awhile, only limping a little, but she was good at running on 3 legs. Last Saturday she was not wanting to eat and Sunday she was not eating, not taking her medicine, and getting sick. I was going to take her the vet Monday afternoon. Hoping for a miracle but realizing I would probably have to put her to sleep. Monday morning she was breathing very heavy. She hopped over to my other dog and laid down next to him. I laid down with her. She died about an hour later. Very peacefully. She saved me from making the decision about putting her to sleep. I miss her very much.

I'm sorry for your loss. Autumn is now playing happily over the bridge and running on all 4 legs.

Rest in Peace beautiful Autumn

Play happily over the bridge, and run free - just don't chase the kitties too much.

Play happily over RB, Autumn. I know that you will join my beloved Tasha & our other TCS RB pups and that the Bridge will be well guarded

Thanks to everyone for the kind words. She was the 5th pet I have lost since 2005. I still have 1 dog and eight cats.

I am so very sorry for your loss, I am glad that you were there with her too. At least she knew she was being loved.
