My friend just messaged me saying her kitten (8 months old, his father is my cat, Salem.) was pooping and peeing all over her apt and she brought him to the vet. The vet said he has UT and GI disease. She has to give him pills and special food every day now.
My MIckey had a UTI last year and he is not on a special diet anymore (I dont like science diet) and he never needed any meds xcept for the inital shot for inflammation.
Personally I do not believe he needs the special diet, as long as he is on a high quality food. I dont know anything about GI infection/disease though, so any info would be greatly appreciated.
