Is it weird for guys to like cats?

http://abcnews.go.com/video/playerIndex?id=7116728

I'm not sure I want to be in the same room with this guy, but he can leave his cats with me any time!

What makes you feel uncomfortable to not be in the same room as him?

Gorgeous cats but I have to say, I liked the Jet Blue commercial the best.

Ha! I just forwarded this to my husband. He's becoming a cat guy, even if he won't admit it yet. I'm getting him a "real men like cats" mug for the next holiday

If it is weird for guys to like cats, what does that say about me? (No need to answer, I know what some already think )

Actually, I think he's kind of weird... Do I need to point out his piece on ape sex? Well, since it was shown on network TV, I guess it's actually pretty tame.

Am I weird for actually enjoying this? LOL. I liked it.

Is it weird for guys to like cats... NOPE.

What's weird is big, muscular policemen (tall, bulky) walking a chihuaha(sp). Yep, my neighbour had one for the first few years, he's tall prolly 6'2-6'3, he's a police officer (narcotics to be precise) and he had a tiny weenie chihuaha.

Yup, we laughed at him and his manly choice in a dog He laughed to, so it was all in fun. (the dog was his wife-at-the-time, and is now gone and replaced by 2 Dobermans....1 replaced the chihuaha, 1 replaced the wife? LOL)

But on a serious note, nothing wrong with a man and a cat.

I don't think I would ever date a guy who didn't like cats My ex had a very strong bond with our first leukemia cat, Jericho. It was very sweet how much they loved each other

I loved Steve, Awwww My DH adores his cats, he is obsessed with them, and he has 10 ferals he takes care of and worries about and a big 20 pound office cat he adores too
My Dad, some would call him a macho Italian guy, ADORES CATS, he is still mourning his cat Rocky from 20 years ago And my brother adores cats too. No one would call them a sissy for liking cats, that's for sure

It's just nature really?. Curiosity i suppose?

When i used to see Gil he loved Rosie, and she did him as well, but that was for the treats he had for her

John Wayne used to drive around town with his wife's Dachshund draped around his neck and over his shoulders like a feather boa.

NOT AT ALL!!! I know that in some guys, there's this homophobic conotation about men who like cats, but I know many "real men" who have cats! One is a jet fighter pilot, some are firemen-paramedics, my DH likes them; also, some of our trucker clients prefer to have cats and/or small dogs for company on the long hauls.
When I was dating, I found that men who didn't care for cats tried to dominate me,too

I've said it before, but when I used to teach high school, I told the girls to be very wary of any guy who said he hated cats, or mistreated them. What most guys don't like in cats is their independence, and if they don't like it in a pet, they won't like it in a wife.

Very interesting! I dated two men (at different times ) that hated cats and tried to be all bossy and dominate me. My current boyfriend said he didn't like cats but he loved Monti and now he loves Poppy.

That makes a great deal of sense. I was telling DH about this thread and that comment. He said, "Gee, good thing I like cats, eh?"

That was pretty funny. And I thought Steve looked like a very sweet cat.
