Has the vet prescribed an appetite stimulant?
When Sadie recently went anorexic because of nausa from irritable bowel...
a Diazepam based mix help immediately.
It can have negative side effects in some kitties but worked for Sadie....
we were desperate.
Below is a link to Tanya's CRF info about getting kitties to eat.
Maybe it will have some helpful ideas you can use.
Hi guys.....well, we brought our baby girl home last night. I set her up in one of the spare bedrooms with her litter box and food/water. I wanted to see if she'd eat or use the potty, but no to both. I coaxed her with everything I could think of this morning, but no luck. Can you guys suggest anything? I tried roast chicken, 3 differnt kinds of smelly/fishy cat food, a can of tuna.
Susie, I am just so sorry Trixie is not feeling well and sending so many prayers her way.
When cats dont eat for a while, their blood sugar can drop and make them have no appetite, put some Karo syrup on her gums and see if that will stimulate her to eat.
You can get some syringes from the drug store, if you need, to mix some watered down food and give to her in the side of her mouth.
She may be tempted with some baby food right now too.
Many hugs to you all.
