Siamese and Oriental Shorthair breeders - Page 2

I know with my Oci's we did not want females. I've never had luck showing female cats very long; so we only wanted neutered males. Just wondering.

I wrote my mentor and she knows who the breeder is.
Her friends know her also.

I asked what she thinks of her.
I am waiting for her to write back.
My Mentor lives in Oregon but her friends live in California.

Just be careful and PM that info!

I also think it's dangerous to go by hearsay or what somebody knows about a person. I say read the website, phone the breeders (don't email) and then if you can meet them, either at a show or their place.

For example Person A might like Person B because Person B's cats always win and then they spread bad WOM.

Just be careful, cautious and trust your gut!

I have been pming.
I am asking a lot of people.
To bad most are sphynx breeders.
I do not want her to have a problem like my sister is having right now.

I agree, the cat world is catty you can't fully trust what one person says about another.
I do think emailing is fine though, most breeders I know get initial contact from email.

I am currently on 1 waiting list I'm debating on whether to get on the other breeder's that emailed me back but I'll probably wait till next week to see if any of the others email me.
I would wait a little bit so you do not end up on a lot of waiting lists.

I think emails are fine to a certain extent but phoning them is a good way of gauging their character too.

She's waiting on 2 cats to go into heat, she said it could be next week or next month. We chose Lily for the BEW and Leila for the ebony because it means "dark beauty".
I like both the names.
Is that the breeder out here?
I talked to Cleos breeder on the phone before I got her.

Yep! Now I have to wait!

Waiting is the hardest part.
It will be worth it though.
