Is this dry food any good? I couldn't find the Chicken Soup food anywhere in town, but found this. My question is if this food is good ingrediant wise. i got a few samples from the store, the only samples they had were the low calarie formula which the farm cats loved. i wouldn't get that kind though, i'd get the original formula. http://www.naturalbalanceinc.com/cat...as/UltCat.html

Good solid food ... touch grainy ... often too rich

We are feeding the Natural Balance in the canned foods because Charlie has to eat Royal Canin for Urinary with the dry.

They love the canned foods - the venison & green pea and duck & green pea are their favorites. Maybe try canned food.

I am very happy with this brand.

I fed Matilda the Natural Balance Green Pea & Duck dry food for 5 months and wouldn't buy it again for her, she threw up quite often on it. It could have just been the time of year, but I'll pass on this in the future.

I fed Matilda & Chloe the Natural Balance Ultra dry formula for about 7 months. Henry has been eating it for the past few months (as long as we've had him). I like that it's all-life-stages. It's very affordable and easy to find (Petco has it), there aren't any by-products in it, and chicken meal is the first ingredient. It has no animal digest, no corn, no soy, etc. Henry's coat is noticeably shinier now that he's on this food.

The only thing is that this food is very high in calories (553 in a cup) so you have to be really careful with portions.

I fed Mattie & Chloe the Natural Balance wet food for a while but they won't eat it now. It's one of the least expensive wet foods I can find here that has ingredients I like. We feed Henry the Natural Balance wet food though (he'll eat anything).

thanks. i want to switch to that from by nature, because it is cheaper and seems to have more meat. i got several samples yesterday (it takes a lot to make sure all the farm cats get enough!) and used it last night and they loved the original recipe. i want to give mikey (house cat) canned natural balance because it is actually quite cheap, and i got a small 3 oz can that he choose that food over fancy feast.

i found an awesome store yesterday that isn't to far away, it has most of the high quality brands. one brand that i hadn't heard of that they had was Instinct. they have two differant recipes that are meant for all life stages. could someone tell me how they look ingrediant wise?

its a 'farm store'. that's not its name, but since it is not a huge chain of stores i don't want to say the name therefore give away exactly where i live.
