All things considered we are coping with the loss of Pong. Some might think I am wrong for this but I did ,in a gentle way, tell the kids that Pong had passed. I could not tell them the same thing my parents told me (they ran away). I did not want them to always hope and talk about her coming home when I knew that would never happen. It would have made me feel like a liar. So we are coping and getting by. The kids tho once the shock wore off asked when we were getting another cat. I so don't think I am ready for that.

I did want to thank everyone for the kind wishes. I really needed that.

Through all of this I had to deal with end of the quarter tests. So much fun.Good news is I believe everything will be in the mid to high B range. I got one final grade today and that was microcomputers, I got a 86.529 in that class. So I am happy. I have final in data entry Mon. and a final speech in English Wed. Then I am done with classes till the end of the month (new quarter).

I understand where you are coming from. I will however keep hoping that Pong will still come home at some point. I am an eternal optimist!! Keep your chin up, great news on tests already taken, best wishes on tests still to come

I am so sorry to hear about Pong. I think you did the right thing telling your kids the truth. I think they handle things better than adults do - they're more resiliant.

That's great news about your classes and grades!! (I wish I was that smart!)
Wish you lots of luck with your last 2 finals, I'm sure you won't need it though!
