Yes!! You should defintely get a friend for Boo. It might be tough at first because Boo is used to just you, but a few weeks they should adjust to each other. It's amazing watching two cats love and play with each other and I beleive it makes a total difference. If you decide to get a new cat, introduction is hard but worth it. Seperate the new kittie from the old one. Leave the new kittie in the carrier for awhile so that Boo can smell and sniff. Then, I would put the little one in another room with food, water, and a litter box. That way Boo and the little one can get use to the change. The new kittie will have a place that is just his/hers for the time being and not feel threatened. Boo will still feel like the rest of the place is still his since he has the rest of the house. After a day or so open the door and let the little one explore on his/her own. It's tough to watch them hiss at each other and it may take a few weeks for them to stop hissing at each other, but be patient. I beleive the best thing we did was to give Tybalt a friend. Maddie and Tybalt are best friends!
