His new favorite food....

George always needs to know what I'm eating. The other night I had a green olive and gave George a sniff. Well, he about grabbed it right out of my fingers!! So I bit off a little and gave it to him. It was better than cat nip!! Probably not the best thing for him to eat but I've never seen him enjoy something so much.

Tonight I brought out the green olives again - and again he went crazy! He's never tried to grab food out of my fingers before - he'll wait until I put it down but not the olives. He can't wait to get a taste. Crackes me up!

Nora is the same way. She feels the need to come over and sniff what I'm eating, and she'll come up and pull it towards her face so she can get a good sniff. Especially if I'm eating something she hasn't smelled before, she'll go nuts trying to smell it.

She's never wanted to eat green olives before, though. LOL

That's funny! I had a cat years ago that went bezerk over green olives. She never ate it or bit it but would roll on it, toss it and freak out. It was better than catnip!! I have no idea why?

LOL now that kitty has some good taste (I love olives) Princess goes crazy over any kind of noodle and Nemo loves salad

I read a book years ago where the author prided herself that when she had guests, she knew how they liked their cocktails. She would prepare them just before they arrived. All of a sudden she noticed that when they got to the tray of drinks any olives were missing. One day she and her guests got to the tray of drinks in time to see her cat fishing them out of the glasses.

My cousin has 3 cats and one of them, Biggs, goes nuts over olives too. Just starts acting all crazy like it's catnip... Cats are so strange at times... ok, most of the time.

After seeing George's reaction the other night to the olive, I wouldn't put it past him not to do this!! He was pretty greedy trying to get it out of my hand!
