My surgery was supposed to be next Tues. (March 17).
I just got a phone call today, it's been cancelled and rescheduled for April 7th.
I'm soooo frustrated I could cry. I've been anxiously awaiting this surgery, it was "the light at the end of the tunnel" for me. It would decrease my pain substantially, and the sooner I had one hand done, the sooner I could have the other hand done. If I had the surgery on schedule, I'd be having the other hand done a month or so after..... Now I get to suffer and prolong it for more time.
I completely understand the cancelling. The nurse said it was due to the extreme shortage of nurses and illnesses going around right now, that they closed surgery for this week and next week. I'm not angry at that at all...
I was just looking forward to it, getting some function back in my hand, being able to have more of a life than sitting around reading/computer/tv. I'm frustrated and upset, but I do completely understand why it was cancelled.
