I completely forgot about it this morning.....

I was looking at my comp clock, then went in to the kitchen and noticed they were an hour slow.

So for those who do observe DST....don't forget, your clocks should be set an hour ahead today.

I had no idea it was daylight savings time till my husband called me 30 mins ago and told me he was an hour late for work because of the daylight savings.

I did the exact same thing.

Actually, I forgot until I saw the title of your thread. I saw it, looked at my computer clock, which said 9:30 and then was like "oh no, it's 10:30." Then I looked at my other clocks, which say 8:30 and remembered that the computer clock automatically adjusts.

I live in a place where we didn't used to observe DST and I absolutely hate it! I did remember that time changed last night but I hate that we observe it now and it also drive me nuts that the dates when time changes have been moved now too. I have one VCR/DVD combo that changes time on it own... but on the wrong dates so I have to change it manually twice or live with it on the wrong time for weeks.

LOL.... I did that one year, because I forgot whether I was supposed to go ahead or go behind an hour.

My ma called me from work, I was still sleeping... and asked me if I was coming to work...and I said of course, at whatever the time was... I still got 2hrs or something like that.

Yah
I had set the clock back an hour instead of forward LMAO. My boss wasn't angry, in fact they all had a good laugh about it at my expense

Yeah, these things are pretty common, especially in the Spring. In the Fall, people tend to show up early for work, church, or whatever. I know that my friend who sings in his church choir was worried that they wouldn't have enough people to sing because a lot of them would show up an hour late. I'll see if he was right when he comes over for dinner tonight.

As for me, I'm really looking forward to the time change. I typically leave work (or the health club at work anyway) between 6 and 7. Having sunlight really changes the drive home from "man, this is really depressing" to "ahh, what a pleasant and relaxing drive." In the morning, it's just the opposite. Getting to work before the sun comes up makes me feel like I'm really getting a jump on the day.

You know, I figure that about 50% of the population won't hear about the end of the world until the next day, since announcements about daylight savings time have been everywhere, on the news, on the work bulletin board, even on the light-up road signs!

I HATE daylight savings time!!!

Why do they always have to screw with my sleep????

I'm going to be tired until they give me back my hour in the fall. And I'll still be tired after I get my hour back, because it will take the cats a couple of months to adjust back to standard time, and not wake me up an hour early for breakfast!!!

Okay, rant over. Carry on.

It really makes no difference to me one way or the other. It's only an hour - no biggie.

I always remember it as spring forward, fall back. I love not driving home from work in the dark and having more daylight in the evenings.

I think it's changing WAY too early now! Congress said they would try it for a year, and if it didn't show any savings, they would go back to the old time. Research showed no energy savings, but they didn't go back. Nothing is more permanent than a temporary law!

I hate going to work in the dark. It's harder to do a good inspection, etc. I can understand moving it when dawn is at 4 a.m., but even here in the south it will be well after 7 for a while now.

I think Ben Franklin would have a word or two with the Powers That Be if he saw how his invention is being used.

Me neither. My clocks are the computers, several Atomic Clocks and my cell phone. They all set themselves. The only clocks I have to change are the one on the stove, and the one in the car. The clock on the stove I usually don't bother with for a week or two.

Same here, it doesn't bother me. Hubby and I remembered. We even reset our clocks before we went to bed so they would be right this morning. Our church even sent us an email reminding us of DST.
We go to church at 6pm, so the change didn't affect that for us.

For some reason, when we switch to dst, my Mom always (and I do mean ALWAYS) starts carrying on about how "now it's fast time." I have no idea what that means! Does times suddenly move faster now? When I ask her she just gives me a funny look. I seriously don't get it.
