Patrick Roy (pronouced Wah), the goalie for the Colorado Avalanche, announced his retirement today.

Roy holds EVERY records he possibly can as an NHL goalie. The only thing he didn't ever do is score a goal. He helped his teams to 4 Stanley Cups, and won the Conn Smythe (the MVP for the Cup) a record 3 times.

Roy has earned his place in history, and he will be sorely missed in Denver and in the NHL as a whole. Good luck in the future Patty!

Ooops, got so excited for you Lizza that I didn't even mention that I'm sorry to see Roy go. He will most definitely be missed and can look back at an amazing career!!

LOL Let me tell you the story......

I drove 40 miles away from Orange County to Downey (a not so good neighbor) I stood in line starting at 7am in front of a "Ritmo Latino" a Mexican music store that sells Tickets via ticketmaster.

My logic....... NO HOCKEY FANS!

I stood in line by myself until 9:30am (tickets went on sale at 10:00am)

I purchased 2 tickets to each game - Tickets sold out in under 4 minutes!!!!

NO ONE ELSE IN MY OFFICE GOT TICKETS!
NO ONE ELSE IN LINE GOT TICKETS (I was the 1st person in line and the Only person who got tickets)

It took me 2 hours to get back to work that morning..... but well worth it!!!!!

Nick was so proud of me - HE IS A HUGE DUCKS FAN :chicken:

I'm rooting for the Devils!!!!!! :madalien:

Wow Lizza!! Yup, definitely jealosy here! LOL

I'm rooting for the Ducks, the total Cinderella story. Besides, we beat the Devils for the Cup in 7 games, and that rivalry is hard to overcome.

I am definately jealous! I'm not a big fan of either team, but I was obsessed with the Angels last year and they won the World Series, so I'm rooting for Anaheim.. If only the Penguins could shape up!! gr...

It's sad to see Roy go, he rocked so bad..
