I told my sister I would throw this out there. My nephew's best friend is moving to Dublin. She said if she goes all that way for a visit, she's going to Scotland but she wants to avoid flying if at all possible. I can imagine that the seas are pretty rough. Anyone out there care to comment?

We took a ferry when we were in Scotland, but I can't remember from where to where. lol A lot of help I am, huh?? I just remember it was an hour or longer, so a pretty long ferry. It was pretty smooth and I don't remember it being bumpy or rough at all. It wasn't on the way back, either.
Good luck!

We flew from Dublin to Edinburgh and back, but we did take two shorter ferry rides, one in each country. It was the first week of April, windy and cold, but I loved it! Climbed all over the boat, stood at the prow with my arms out like Kate and Leo...
