I don't know what they put in Fancy Feast but it is most addictive!  My cat was throwing up way too often and I had to change her food and it wasn't until I found Authority Duck and Simply Nourish (grain free) that I was successful in changing her wet food and now she loves both. I also switched her dry food from Purina Indoors to Simply Nourish Adult Rabbit and Chicken and a bit of her old Purina food with success.  Her fur is healthier looking and her vomiting has ceased.  I also give her a teaspoon of mixed cranberry juice, a splash of vinegar and liquid Vitamin B12 frequently.  I take her for a short morning walk and she has improved immensely.  She is 10 years old so I guess I'm lucky to have made these changes.

My cats love FF. I have a 17 year old, a 12 year old and a 5 month old. They are all in excellent health. They eat FF wet food and dry food is Naturals. I feed the wet twice a day. I tried Natural Balance and they sniffed it, looked at me like, "what is this nastiness, Mama?". It isn't the best thing out but it isn't the worst. Cats are so fussy so when they like to eat it I am happy. I want my kids to have happy lives. Considering their ages and excellent health I have no issue with FF.

I feed my cat 2 cans of wet a day and only ff. I recommend only the classic. With a little fromms dry thrown in as a treat (2 tsp) my Tuff is doing fine.

regardless of quality ff always made my cats sick :( so I've never used it long term.

however i will say at work we recommend it as an emergency food for when your cats refuse food or for medications.

Edit: forgot to say i agree with posts that say any wet is better than none if ff is all you can afford go for it!

My cat got sick in Wellness food.  I give her FF and Sheba pates.  She likes them and is doing well on them.  I've tried some other premium brands but she doesn't like them.  I may try some other brands, but I do get tired of throwing out food she won't eat.

People can say what they want about FF.  But my cat likes it and doesn't get sick on it.

actually I find that interesting because I know a friends cat who also does well on cheaper 'bad foods' :0 she always had really REALLY soft poops on anything but the cheaper stuff

I really would like to find some higher quality canned food for my cat.  She gets Wellness Core dry in the evenings as a snack.  Before I switched her to a primarily canned diet she was on Blue Buffalo dry food and I thought I was doing the right thing by giving her that.  I learned that canned is better and tried a lot of different brands.  The only ones she'll consistently eat are Sheba and Fancy Feast, and she'll only eat pates.  She vomits on Wellness canned and a few others.  The ingredient that is consistent with her vomiting is carrageenan.  I can't be 100% positive that is the culprit, but as long as I feed her pates that don't contain that ingredient she doesn't get sick.  For now I'll keep her on Sheba and FF pates and maybe try some other brands in a few months.

Believe it or not there are some good choices when it comes to FF & Sheba. They aren't as crappy as people think. Friskies & 9 Lives are crappy.

The Sheba Perfect Portions are a good choice & the Fancy Feast Classic & Purely lines are all totally decent. If they were in bigger containers I would totally buy them, for feeding three cats, it's just not practical. I do buy the Purely as a treat though, my cats love them & no gut upset.

I am happy with my cat on the FF Classic and Sheba pates.  She loves them and doesn't get sick.  Right now I am not willing to waste any more money throwing food away that she won't eat.

I feed my ragdoll FF-Pates (Chicken, Beef flavor, Liver&Chicken) once/day. Once per week, I give her FF-Salmon or Ocean Whitefish & Tuna pate.

I have tried various unique proteins such as Rabbit,Duck,Quail,Venison in the past but she's not keen on them unless I hand feed her.

Once in a long-while I feed the more expensive brands to change things up.

For the evenings, she gets Acana-Wild Prairie dry food, simply because it's convenient, as I'm not always around in the evenings to open a fresh can.

I have no qualms about FF-pate ingredients - based upon my reading and understanding.

Many have very strong opinions on this matter and state it as fact,  but I tend to take their views with a grain of salt.
