I'm just glad he was at home when it happened, b/c I don't think he'd be here otherwise. As it was, when it happened, he was trying to tell me that he'd be all right if he just laid down for awhile. I told him there was no way I was gonna ignore what was going on, b/c I knew enough to know that time is of the essence when someone is having a stroke and went ahead and called 911 in spite of his objections. Thank the Lord that I knew what was going on.Originally Posted by carolinalima
Wow, he is having it rough, huh? I am so sorry!! Thank goodness you knew what to do, every minute counts during a stroke, and your quick response probably saved his life...

Is that him in your avatar? He looks so young.
I really appreciate the offer & your concern, Mike, but we're quite a ways from Dallas - closer to Houston. Randall's in one of the hospitals in the Woodlands.Originally Posted by mrblanche
Oh, wow. I see you're in Texas. Dallas area? Is there anything we can do for you?

That's pretty much what it is. I know what he's going through having been there myself.I bet he's getting grumpy from them bugging him all hours -are they coming in to take his vitals several times at night? and from no food. I hated that myself, the moment I'd get to relax a little someone would bug me.
