My new 8 week old kitten lets out this little meow (liking working very hard) before he lets out the big one - I saw this at least twice. Is this normal? Or does this mean he is having trouble?
He may need more fiber. Start feeding him small amounts of canned pumpkin. Go easy, start with about 1/2 teaspoon a feeding. If he still is having problems, please take him to the vet.
I've heard that Libby's pumpkin is the most "pure" pumpkin on the market. This is, it is simply pumpkin and nothing else and because of that it is the best for increasing fiber for cats.
Couldn't find pumpkin so got Gerber's squash. Hope that's close enough. But before I went to the store again - I gave kitten some milk formula for kittens - when I got back - there is some soft stool in the litter box - since it's covered by litter already - I couldn't tell if that was potentially diarrah but definitely very soft - the big cat had diarrah the day before - I have been worrying the little one getting it.
Now that I am not worrying about kitten not able to pass stool, but worrying him getting Tiki's sickness
Could milk formula cause softness in stool? I am going to hold squash and milk till later. Any advise or exprience sharing is appreciated!
