Is it ok to mix a little bit catnip in with the cat food? I wonder if this is a way to get my cat to eat wet food, since he is addicted to dry food right now. Thanks!

You can try - might work for you. What about some boiled chicken broth and some shredded chicken mixed in the canned food?

If one is willing to go through that much effort, why not just try a very high quality chicken canned food? I've given some to my boys that actually smelled good to me - like chicken.

I don't know how many make boiled chicken for supper as it leaves a lot to be desired unless you're making soup. Even my cats look at boiled chicken like "We know you can cook tastier stuff than this".

We do - we boil it up and cut it up and add to either noodles or chow mein - the cats and dog get handouts and they've never complained about boilded chicken breasts

We do boiled chicken and rice-it's quiet nice if you add seasonings!!! Or chicken and yellow rice-you add peppers and onoins to it.

-as for the origonal post-it's worth a try! I've done it before, but cannot remember the results, lol.

I do it for mine sometimes. There are evenings that Wickett just doesn't seem to want to eat but adding a dash of cat nip seems to help. Of course, you could also try different kinds of canned cat food. Chicken would work too but if you want to switch him to canned he might get spoiled on chicken and snub canned food.

I have done it with my skinny boy when he was ill and would not eat/drink - and I really needed to get some wet stuff into him. Worked to a degree.
