Hairballs can be serious

Until the other day I never knew that hairballs could cause such serious problems. A woman at work has a cat that quit eating, and turned out a hairball caused all the distress and had to be surgically removed. Another woman said same happened to her cat.Good thing I brush tehm several times a week, but now I am thinking everyday is better, especially with warm weather coming. Linda

You can add a little bit of vegetable oil to their dry food that helps as well. Or feed the hairball food from Science Diet. But yes, hairballs can cause some very serious problems for cats.
