OK, I brought her home today, and finally have been able to take some pictures . . .

It hasn't been easy though, since she's so busy; she won't sit still long enough! LOL! There's a few, so bear with me! I will post more throughout the next few days, so check back from time to time!

And the next two are of her playing with a drinking straw that I was poking through the door of her carrier, while she was on the other side of the door.

Awwww....she's adorable!! I'm sure your a very happy kitten mom! I know what you mean about trying to take pictures of a kitten. All of Nakita's earlier pics are fuzzy because she wouldn't sit still....all that kitten energy!!

Enjoy! She will grow up way to fast!

How fast should I introduce her to the apartment? I put her in my bathroom this morning, and just now have let her into the bedroom. I figured I'd keep her here until tomorrow morning, then let her explore everywhere else? It's just an apartment, not a house, so there are only a few rooms for her to go in.

Also, she is crying a little. Is that normal? I think she just misses her mom. She's also a bit skittish with me and Alex, I think just cuz everything is so new. Is there anything I can DO? Or just give her time?

I miss Wisconsin
Just let her do what she wants. She will be fine. She is going to miss her brothers and sisters for a while but will most likly want a snuggle when ita nap time.

This is totally normal, you just totally changed her whole world! There are so many new sights and smells she has to get used to! Let her experience the apartment on her own speed, and make sure she has a safe room that she can run back to if she gets scared. Remember, she has to get used to you and Alex on *her* schedule, just take your time and give her space if she needs it!

So cute! I want to reach through the screen and cuddle that little bundle of fluff!

One more thing: when can I start giving her catnip? I've heard from some places to wait til she's 6 months old, cuz it won't have an effect on young kittens and can desensitize them. Is this true? It *would* be nice to be able to put catnip on her scratching post, to encourage her to use it. Is there any other way to get her to learn to use the scratching post? Thanks!
