CHONBURI, THAILAND-May 20, 2003 ? A Thailand zoo has developed a method of making tigers less aggressive in captivity. They raise them with pigs.The Sriracha Zoo has a pig nurse newborn tigers.
The zoo has been raising tigers this way since 1997.
So far, 300 Bengali tigers have "graduated" from the program.
The zoo says tigers that get their milk from a pig grow up much calmer, and are much more suited for life in captivity.
