I am not sure if the term is actually afraid, but last night I got some catnip bubbles from Petsmart, and thought the kitties would both love it, but of course they were very curious, more hesitant about it..I blew them in the air thinking they would jump up and try to get them, but they just started walking backwards like the bubbles were gonna get them...after the bubble landed on the floor, they would paw at them, but they just didn't seem to care for them too much....any others like their catnip bubbles if you have ever tried them?

Your cats are not afraid. Your cats are just cautious or curious.

My cats are afraid. I blow a bubble, they run and hide under the bed.

My cat was curisous the first couple of times but never gathered enough courage to touch the bubble. Now she runs away as soon as I pick up that bubble bottle
I hope my new kitten will like it.

My cat didn't like them, either. He just looked at my daughter and I like we were daft and then went to another room.

He is a very playful, active 4 1/2 year old siamese, so I was somewhat surprised he didn't like them.
