The cat pictured below,(Harry),is desperate to play with my other 2 cats. They will have none of it. They hiss and growl at him,but he just totally ignores their warnings and carries on walking towards them. They end up running away with Harry following hoping for a game. All he wants them to do is play with them. What can I do to encourage play? Harry wants play mates, not wussie pussies!!

Is he new to the group? If he is, they need to come to terms and accept him first, they play and wrestle after the acceptance comes. For now, get a fishing pole, and some line and tie a toy on the end and troll and fish with Harry in your living room. Once the others see a *live* toy interaction play, they will generally join in the fun. It is a great icebreaker as well.

He is new. We have had him for about a week. We have had the other 2 cats for 7 years(Woolley-pictured) and 6 months(Doris) respectively. They play fine together. Also, Harry was an outdoor cat,he only used to go into the house to eat. When we got him,he was not used to being kept in, but we have kept him in to try to avoid him returning to his old home. Unfortunately his old home is only 5 doors away from us. He is desperate to go out, but I don't know how long to leave him in for, until introducing the great outdoors again.
