My 10 month old male will always go around the house trying to cover the food dishes. If I give the 3 y.o. female an ice cream bowl to lick out after I am done, every now and then, he doesn't even sample it, but he wants to try and cover it with the, 'kitchen table's top'. Is he complaining about the food I have for them?

This is just a normal behavior in wild cats, they cover anything that smells like food (for later on) They bury food in the wild to keep it safe from predators. Take a large kerchief or bandanna and set it under his food bowl. When he is done eating, he will scoop, the bandanna will cover it and he will go away satisfied.

snowwhite is just teaching her babies how to do this. I noticed when I feed them yesterday she pawed around the bowl when she was done and they all started pawing around there bowls to. I used to think it ment they didn't like the food, then i learned they were just trying to hide it.
