Since I don't write poetry, I'm contributing this little item which was sent me via electronic mail.

DON'T QUIT

People are unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.
Love them anyway.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.

If you're successful, you win false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.

The biggest people with the biggest ideas will be shot down by the smallest people with the smallest brains.
Think big anyway.

People favour underdogs but follow only top dogs.
Fight for some underdogs anyway.

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.

Give the world the best you've got and you may get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you've got anyway.

:tounge2:

Hey, I'm glad you liked it! Well, if and when I stumble across other seemingly-profound artsy-fartsy items I'll post them here.

As you know, we all get tons of "stuff" via electronic mail; but rarely is any of it worth passing along.

Hope springing eternal and all, I'm anticipating the arrival of another "gem" any moment. If you've any such thingies lying about, put 'em here!

Hey, Mr. Cat;
I just want to say that I love the "Pearls of Wisdom" that you pass our way.

Also, I love your latest signature picture: Alley Kat Amour in the Moonlight. . .

I value the fact that I can always count on you to put a smile on my face or a chuckle in my throat. . . .

Thank you for being the first person here to comment on my alley-cat friends in love! You may have heard them a time or two yourself.

Dear Joe, (MR. CAT);
Thank you for helping me remember one of my Mom's Favorite Songs: The Alley Cat Rag !!!

She played it all the time on the old upright in our living room.
(we need a smilie for a dancer other than :pinky: )

Also, I never get tired of the singing of true alley kats in love. Open the windows on a warm summer's evening and enjoy.

P.S. Is the Michalea and Tonya cam back up and scrolling, yet? I went over the last two days but it said it was "inactive".
Tell the girls I want a full front face shot and then I can save it in my scrapbook!!!

Thanks! Darlene

As per your request, the web camera is now on! It's the cat-tower shot, but you'll just have to take what you can get. Oh, well.

we have those same little "pearls of wisdom" on a poster hanging in the bathroom at my parent's ski shop! actually, I don't know where it went, but I always liked it. thanks for bringing back the fond memories of sitting on the bathroom floor talking on the phone, when I couldn't get any privacy anywhere else! (I.O.W.~ I liked that post!)
