This is related to the same kitty I posted earlier about being a bit overweight.

Ok she walks slow unless when she begs for food, or is outdoor chasing bugs - quite adorable actually. When I pick her up, sometimes I hear some tiny cracks in her front leg. And I see her shake her front paw quite a bit - she does use her paw to scoop up water, so may be she is just shaking water away. I hear that Feline Hip Dysplasia is common in cats with coon heritage. And if that's the case - will explain why she seems to be interested in playing, but won't really do it. Do you all have some thoughts on this?

I am going to take her to the vet for annual exam in June and will ask about then too.

It's possible, because cats don't show signs as evident as dogs do. I would just ask the vet to do an x ray to rule it out. If it were hip dysplasia, it wouldn't effect her front legs. Usually you would see some lameness or weakness in the rear as well as hesitation to jump.
