I have a very spoiled nine month old cat. He is great, and I love him to pieces. I have an extreme love for all animals, which causes me to visit pet shops and rescues frequently. Well, I visited one today, and they had quite a few kittens. One in particular caught my eye. His features are quite similar to my little fuzz ball. Well to keep this short, I ended up taking this kitty home. So I am sitting here in my living room between the two of them. I know that it is very traumatic for my cat. It doesn't seem like he is too happy right now, not with the kitten or me and my boyfriend. What can I do to ease the process of getting them to be friends? I know that many of you have more than one cat, and I'm sure I am not the only one who could use some advice. much appreciated,

It is best when bringing a new cat or kitten into the house, to seperate them. The new kitty needs to go into a seperate room for I would say a minimum of a week. This way they can sniff under the door and get used to each other scents. You can lay a blanket in the room and get kitty to sleep on it. Bring it out and let the older one investigate. Also, no matter where the cat came from seperation is the best option because if the risk of germs or infection. You need to watch the new baby and see if anything pops up. Nothing worse than a sick cat...except for two. Best of luck to you!!
