brushes & spray for my long haired 15 year old cat

I just got back from a cat show and bought this spray and a metal comb and a brush for my cat.

I have had problems in the past with my cats skin flaking and he gets knots. THe man said this will take care of everything! His matty fur etc.. He told me that this stuff is not offered at pet stores usually.

ANyone else use these products for ur long haired cat? are they better? I stopped brushing him cause it always hurt!

I am always leery when buying those types of things. Some that are offered actually have ingredients that are harmful to cats in them. Can you give us a list of the ingredients?
