This and Guantanamo Bay are two different situations. Gitmo is a US Naval Installation under long term lease, basically US property, while facilities in Afghanistan are advanced combat operations bases. Not the same animals by a long shot.
Yes, I think there is a difference in "landlords" alright! I can understand why Human Rights activists are dismayed, though
